We just got home from Spring break and my mind is full on spring mode! I’m so over a sweater and jeans even though that’s likely what I’ll be wearing all week here. We had the best time in San Diego exploring the USS Midway Museum, Legoland and Sea World and a few more relaxing days at home before the boys went back to school today.
I finished my another sewing project—this time a skirt, because I love a skirt in the spring and summer and I have several more on my list. Lately, I’m finding myself drawn to color, pattern, accessories with a little extra something something, plus some classic whites for spring.
April Favorites: Fun Patterns, Stripes & Bold Colors
Pink Mesh Flats
I bought a pair of mesh flats last summer and they are easily one of my favorite pairs of shoes. I came across this hot pink pair and fell in love! Bold, breathable, comfortable and so fun for adding unexpected color to any outfit.
Crochet & Eyelet Tops in Cream or White
These are a staple in my opinion—a crocheted or eyelet white or cream top is quintessential spring and summer. Lightweight, interesting and because they’re a simple color you can wear them with so much. Pair with something bold like this striped skirt or something simple like these wide leg white jeans.
White Wide Leg Jeans
Speaking of these jeans, these are a favorite pair of mine! The Levi’s ribcage wide leg jeans are a current favorite—so much so that I now own them in 3 colors! I love this creamy white and have been wearing them year round. Perfect with a tank or fun top for spring and great with sweaters in the cooler months. The price is pretty great too.
Straw Tote
I bought this bag last year and admittedly was a little unsure about how much I would use, but it ended up being my most used bag and will again this year. It is a bit pricy, but the quality is great and the leather straps and sewn-in liner with a drawstring has made it worth it for me. Plus, its price per wear is already so low. Love when I get my money’s worth out of a piece!
This one comes in a bunch of different colors and sizes so there’s literally something for everyone!
Scalloped Sunglasses
These sunglasses were featured in White Lotus and I fell in love! I think the exact color that was in the episode is sold out, but these are so fun and a cool way to add color and interest to your outfit.
Swimsuit with Dramatic Back
Lastly, a one-piece is on my list this year. No, I don’t have one because I often find them too short for my torso. This beautiful, patterned suit comes in a long, so I might be trying that out for size! I love that it has a dramatic back, but isn’t going to fall off or be revealing at the pool with kids.
