We officially have 9 days of school left and I’ve been busy getting my life in order and finishing work projects so that when my kids are here I don’t have to stress about all the other things. We’re at the age where both kids are home all summer and I absolutely love it. It’s giving me all the same easy-going vibes I had as a kid. Bike rides, late nights, cookouts, backyard playdates with friends, swimming and the occasional road trip up to the mountains. That last one is one of the BEST parts about living in Denver—hiking and nature are so dang close!
And while I am so excited for all those things, our first stop of summer break is in Hilton Head, SC with my whole family—8 adults and 6 kids, which will be wild, but so much fun. I’m so excited for the beach, the ocean, sunshine and a day trip into Savannah with my mom and sisters. I’ve got breezy dresses and sandals on my packing list, a fun new red swimsuit and a good straw bag.
I still can’t believe my kids are nearly done and that my youngest will head to kindergarten next year! They say time flies, but wow, it really does. I hope you have fun summer plans with your family and cheers to another school year in the books!
